At the beginning of August, we had the opportunity to get away to Destin for a few days. We couldn't let the whole summer go by without a trip to the beach! This was, at not quite 2 months old, Sara's first beach trip, of course. Here she is looking super-adorable for her first outing!

Sara conked out in the tent--right before we noticed that the tent traps heat like an oven and the poor baby was soaked with sweat! Terrible parenting...
This is where Anna spent most of her time: in the middle of the ocean. She loves the water and could not get enough!

Big Daddy and his crew happened to be down on the gulf the same week we were. We were able to spend an evening with them and let Anna celebrate her birthday one more time. Here she is getting her present. As you can see, Big Daddy stepped it up on the wrapping this year. (Hey, a plastic grocery bag is a step up from having your gift draped in a bath towel as it was last year!)
