Sara at Three

This girl!  She has been described by Ms. Susan (the director of her daycare) as having "spunk."  Her teacher, Ms. Shun, called her the "It Girl" of 2K-A.  She claims Sara will one day be head cheerleader and homecoming queen!  She tells me she has real competitive streak (which she gets from her dad, no doubt!)  I don't know about any of that, but I do know that this girl is full of love (especially for her mama) and is usually pretty happy-go-lucky.  That's not to say that she doesn't have her typical strong-willed three-year-old moments, but they are usually fairly short lived.  And for a girl with a fairly boisterous personality, she can also be so very shy at times.

She's got serious lisp (bad news when your name is Sara!) and we are working hard at correcting that, but even I must admit that it can be sort of cute.

She loves all kinds of  music and singing along--everything from Maroon 5 to "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" to "Frosty the Snowman" all year round.  After bedtime stories each night, we have bedtime sing-along and you never know what she might request!  You can often hear her in her room at night singing herself to sleep.  It's adorable.

She also has a pretty serious obsession with Team UmiZoomi.  It's all she ever wants to watch on TV!

She still loves her Lovey and can't sleep at night without it.

She's swimming like a fish after some hardcore lessons early this summer and can hold her breath for a long time!

She's finally figured out how to ride a tricycle (we thought that would never happen!)

She loves fruit snacks, granola bars, tacos, cheeseburgers, and "monkey yogurt" (aka Danimal smoothies)--you know, all really healthy stuff.

She loves her big sister and wants to do everything she does!  But make no mistake, she can hold her own in a sisterly spat--we still find teeth marks on Anna from time to time.  Not cool.

And she's still a small fry--25th percentile for both weight and height at her 3-year-old checkup (28 lbs. and 3 feet tall).

Can't wait to see what the next year will bring!
