We had to wait all the way till August this year to see the beach! We had about a week from the last day of 4K until the first day of kindergarten for Anna, so we decided that would be a good time to vacation.
It wouldn't be a trip to the beach without a stop for lunch at Bates House of Turkey in Greenville!
Dad and MeMe had a hard time convincing Sara that the beach was going to be fun! She had a freak out over having to walk in the sand for the first time since last year.
Mom was able to work her magic and get her to calm down! ;)
Anna with her first seashell find of the year.
This girl still loves the water!
By the end of the afternoon, Sara had started to warm up to the whole beach thing.
Playing on the shuffle board court while Dad cooked hot dogs for supper.
Day 2: Taking a break in the shade.
Lots of sandcastle building today!
Anna loved to go for these "walks" in the water with her dad. This happened several times a day.
Shady ladies!
Saturday night we got to meet up with our "beach friends," the Hargroves, at The Track for a little mini-amusement park fun. (That's what Anna calls their girls--her"beach friends.")
Ferris wheel…
Swings…
Carousel…
Airplanes…
Sunday Fun Day!
Ring toss time!
Pool break!
Monday. Last day at the beach for a while. Bummer.
Dinner at The Back Porch. Our last hurrah!
Spending one last hour at the pool Tuesday morning before packing it up and heading home.
Already looking forward to next time!
