'Tis the Season

The entire month of December thus far has been a Christmas extravaganza!  Although it's been exhausting, we've been having a great time!  Kicking off the season was a visit from Santa at Anna's school.  What a difference a year makes!  No screaming, no crying.  Anna was actually eager to sit in Santa's lap, although she still wouldn't smile or talk to him at all.  Oh well.  Baby steps.

Next up, seeing Santa at the mall.  Yes, we waited in line for two ridiculous hours just so that I could get a "professional" photo with Santa.  Was it worth it?  Of course!  Anna was actually very good and patient the whole time we were in line.  I wish I could say the same for her daddy...

What's Christmas without a spin on a reindeer?

Tearing into the first Christmas presents of the year from Meme and Poppy.

Decorating cookies at the 2K Christmas party at St. Peter's.

Check out the massive amount of sprinkles for just one cookie!

 Sugar rush!

 Yum!

Making our own cookies for Santa with Grandmama and Aunt Cookie.

 Modeling her new apron.

Yep, she's all girl.  The cookie cutters became accessories!

New this year:  Decorating the cookies herself.

 What a messy mess!

Do we really need this many cookies?

All the hard work paid off!

 Later that night, Zoolight Safari.

 Cousin Luke went too!

Our very own Auburn Christmas card.

The only thing Anna would get out of her stroller for:  Santa on a train.

The only place in Birmingham where it snows every night!  (Can't you see the tiny flakes?)

The Mitchells and DuMontiers came over for our annual Christmas get-together.  However, due to the utter chaos of 5 children under 3 running wild, these were the only pictures we got.  No group shot this year!
