This year, we braved it and made the 10+ hour drive to Houston to spend Thanksgiving with Big Daddy, Grandma Tam, and Aunt C.C. We somehow only ended up with two pictures from Thanksgiving Day itself. This one, of Big Daddy showing everybody how carving a turkey is done...
...and this one, of Anna conked out right before Santa made his big debut in the Macy's parade. Very disappointing.
The next day, we headed out to the Houston Zoo.
Anna and Aunt C.C. crawling through the fish tunnel.
Check out the real Texas Longhorn!
And yes, even when out of state, we must seek out the cheetah and ride it.
Looking at monkeys with dad.
Another Texas treat for Anna--horseback riding!
This was Aunt C.C.'s when she was little and Big Daddy dug it out of the garage and cleaned it up so the next generation could enjoy it. It was a huge hit!
Happy Thanksgiving from two turkeys!

My parents have one of those horses from when we were little. Clare rode it for the first time on Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteOur Dads need to move closer...Houston is SUCH A LONG DRIVE!! Definitely cannot do that one every year, but glad y'all made it there and back and had a good time!
