Sara turned 4 years old on June 11. At her annual check-up, She weighed 32 lbs and was 3'2" tall, just under the 25th percentile for both. This is EXACTLY what Anna weighed and measured at 4 years old! Good news for continuing to get good use out of those hand-me-downs!
Here are some other things that I want to remember about Sara at age 4:
1. She can write her first name well and most of her last name with just a little guidance.
2. She loves the "Home Living" center at school. Her teacher says it's her favorite thing to do.
3. Her favorite food is spaghetti. She also loves "granilla" bars for breakfast in the morning. She likes to snack on Chex Mix and "flat pretzels." And she's definitely her daddy's daughter because she loves bread!
4. She loves to cuddle and gives great hugs! She really has a sweet spirit and tells me, "I love you, Mama!" out of the blue all the time. It melts my heart!
5. I lay in bed with her for a while every night and we read a book and her prayer book. Sometimes she wants Daddy to lay with her too and she often wants Anna to "say her goodnight." They like to hug each other but one or the other of them will get grossed out by the other one's slobbery kisses.
6. Favorite TV shows are Sofia the First, Goldie and Bear, and PJ Masks. She also likes "Funny Video Games" (aka America's Funniest Home Videos). She loves the movie Rio, mostly because she likes the music and dancing in it.
7. She loves music of all kinds, but really likes the song"Shut Up and Dance" (which we call "Come On and Dance"). Whenever we go anywhere in the car, she and her sister both obsessively ask, "Can you find a song we like?"
8. She likes riding her new big tricycle and has also gotten pretty good at riding her sister's scooter.
9. She loves to swim and is really good at it for her age! She can dive off the side, swim down between our legs, get dive sticks off the bottom of the pool, float on her back, and jump off the diving board into the deep end with no floaties.
10. She still really loves her lovies and Giraffe-y at night and is still in Pull-Ups and night too! Ugh!
11. Still working on getting rid of that lisp!
Anna turned 7 years old on July 30. At her annual check-up, she weighed 43 lbs and was 3'8" tall, which is in the 10th percentile.
Things I want to remember about Anna at age 7:
1. She's thrilled to have moved out of her car seat booster and into a backless booster seat in the car.
2. She's done great in school so far and was a champion speller in all the 1st grade spelling bees last year. She likes to read and is reading beginner chapter books. She loves Junie B. Jones books!
3. Her favorite TV show is Littlest Pet Shop and she's really into the movie Hotel Transylvania 2. She's become a master of Netflix.
4. As far as music goes, she's into pop stuff Taylor Swift, Adele, and Megan Trainor, but fortunately still loves her Vacation Bible School music CD too!
5. She still loves drawing and creating and actually won a couple of art awards at school last year.
6. She's a great swimmer now and still loves gymnastics and has finally learned to ride a bike without training wheels, but has absolutely no interest in playing any type of organized sport! She's a Brownie this year in Girl Scouts and she wants to join the youth choir at church.
7. This summer, after wanting to have long hair for forever, she decided she wanted to cut her hair short and now has an adorable little bob. (These pictures were pre-haircut.)
8. She's started to sort of form a little friend group at school and her three "besties" are Peyton, Camille, and Kate Scot.
9. Much to her dismay, she still has all her baby teeth!
10. She still wants us to lay in bed with her at night and scratch her back to help her fall asleep.
Love these girlies!
