Our Halloween fun started the night before the big day with our annual pumpkin carving. (Here's a pic just to prove I was there. Apparently, by the end of the day, I look like someone has run me over with the car a few times!)
Anna's favorite part: getting the "guts" out!
We kept Sara happy by feeding her a chocolate-coverd marshmallow pumpkin. I'm gonna win mother of the year for that one!
But, hey--she looks happy, doesn't she?
And just to prove that things never turn out to be the Norman Rockwell family moment you are hoping for: Dad ended up carving the pumpkin on his own in the kitchen while the girls ended up doing this in the foyer.
Whatever.

We kicked off Halloween the next morning with the annual parade at St. Peter's.

At some point, Sara was willing to venture out of the wagon and try out trick-or-treating for the first time. It was a Happy Halloween for all!
