Anna turned 4 years old on July 30. We went for her annual check-up on August 13 and she weighed 32.5 lbs and was 3'2" tall, just under the 25th percentile for both. The pediatrician's statement to me was, "The WNBA will not be calling you!" If she continues growing at this rate, she'll be about 5'3" as an adult (same as her mom!)
For posterity's sake, here are some of the other things Anna is all about at age 4:
1. She can write her name pretty well, but sometimes the "N"s are backwards.
2. She loves to do draw and make "crafts" and says she wants to be an artist when she grows up.
3. Her favorite food is probably mac 'n' cheese, but what she really loves is her dessert after every meal. She also requests pancakes "with syrup" for breakfast most mornings.
4. Every afternoon when I pick her up from school, her first question to me is always, "Where are we going to eat supper tonight?" (hoping that I will say it will be at a restaurant.) She loves if either mom or dad will be gone for the night because it means she gets to eat dinner in the living room in front of the TV.
5. She's really into having "settle down time" at night before bed, mostly because she's hoping she'll get to play on the iPad (which has recently become sort of an obsession.)
6. She has to have either mom or day lay down in her bed with her for a few minutes each night at bedtime.
7. She's still an early riser, but we're getting better. Up between 6:30 and 7:00 most mornings.
8. Icees are a favorite treat.
9. Favorite TV shows are Dora, Team Umizoomi, Sofia the First, and Doc McStuffins.
10. Favorite songs include "Dancing Queen" by ABBA, "Home" by Philip Philips, "Brighter than the Sun," by Colbie Caillat, "Hey Girl," by O.A.R., "Good Life," by OneRepublic, "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz, "Some Nights" by fun., "Planet Boogie," by Recess Monkey, and anything by Roger Day or on her Vacation Bible School soundtrack.
11. She's kind of a girly-girl: likes to have her nails painted, put on "lipstick," and wear high heels.
